Programmes used : WorldCraft 2.1 zoners v.242 HLCC v.131 Compile Machine : Pentium 2, 384 ram Construction time : 1 week Compile time : about 50 minutes ------Map Instructions----------------------------------------------- Unzip this file and place "odyssey.bsp" into your half-life/valve/maps directory. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------Additional info-------------------------------------------------- This map is meant to continue the theme of cube-x, but looks quite different. I made a total of three versions of this map in an attempt to lower r_speeds and this final version is a huge improvement - but still probably best played on lan. I almost decided not to release this map due to its bad r_speeds, but with an open plan map such as this there is not much you can do to prevent it from having problem r_speeds. --- the next map will play better, promise =} game-play features: try throwing snarks into the teleporter to get people on the other side. the light beam in the center acts as a health charger when you stand in it. the go fast pads in the hallway send you flying if you jump at the right moment.. ------People who deserve a Thank-you------------------------------- Karl Jones: ( for his great tutorial almanac) http://www.karljones.com/halflife/almanac.asp I would also like to thank all the people out there who run, and maintain mapping sites.
