================================================================================================= Map: Volatile Storage Filename: vstorage.bps Date: October 8, 1999 Author: Rob Davis Email: rledavis@direct.ca ============================================= About the Map: This is my first attempt at map making, and so I started out with something small. I would say that this map is ideal for 2 or 3 people, but 4 will still work if your connections are good; any more than that is really pushing it and will make the map less fun and covered in body parts. Also, I would recommend this map more for LANs, but a good server will still do the job. I went for a military storage yard feel with the map, and I think it goes along with the Half-Life atmosphere. Who knows, maybe behind a locked door in the SP game was this map... Neither of the mechanical doors work, so stop bashing into them. The metal platform does work, though, but is really just there for atmosphere. However, using the platform then standing on it is fun, and makes you go fast. If you can use it strategically, then good for you. The map is tight and quick, and as it is a small map, you might want to rethink using that rpg all of the time - accidents do happen, and usually they're messy. Single Player: 1 start point so that you can admire the pretty scenery... Coop: No Deathmatch: Oh God yes, 5 starting points ============================================= Installation: Take the file vstorage.bps and place it in your valve\maps folder in your Half-Life directory. Feel free to do what you want with the readme, it doesn't matter. It might be handy to keep in the same folder, I guess. ============================================= Map Construction: Base: None Editor: Good ol' WorldCraft 2.1 Known bugs: Not yet....
